Chrysta’s EVO ICL Experience
I started wearing glasses when I was 7 or 8. They were a pain, you couldn’t play sports because my parents couldn’t afford to buy the goggles that had the prescription built into them. I can’t tell you how many times I walked around with duct tape wrapped around the middle of the nose piece.
When I got out on my own my prescription was negative 8, so that was pop bottle lenses. Plastic frames because metal frames couldn’t hold the size and the weight of the lenses. My husband talked me into seeing about getting LASIK. The LASIK wasn’t an option because of how horrible my prescription was. They told me about the EVO ICL procedure. I was a little nervous at first between Dr. Luke and Leroy talking to me and telling me how the procedure was going to work, it got comfortable.
I said, “Okay, let’s do it.” It’s the best money I’ve ever spent. I was scared I was going to have pain, there was no pain involved. It was done and over with. I had cloudy vision for about a couple hours afterwards. Man, once things started clearing up, it was unbelievable. It’s like going from watching black and white television to seeing everything in color. It’s beautiful. I enjoy outdoors much more than I did before because before things were clouded and muted. Now everything is vibrant. The best thing in the world is getting to see your children’s faces. Getting to see how actually beautiful the creatures are that you made, because even with glasses. You think you have your best vision, nothing is as beautiful is looking into your child’s face and getting to see their bright blue eyes. No money in the world, no money in the world could ever take that away from me. Nothing.
